Sir Boy Food Republique's "Merienda All You Can"

Last week, I had a new adventrue. I tried to see and taste Sir Boy Food Republique ". I have no idea about this restaurant until signed up with Metrodeal, but I will share that story on another post.

Anyway, I called the restaurant to reserve me a seat for a Saturday pig out because that's what one of the conditions of the voucher before it can be used. All is set for an afternoon merienda all you can treat.

I wasn't expecting any extraordinary from the foods and the ambiance of the place since I have just paid P89. There is a brief description on Sir Boy Food Republique's service in the Metrodeal's page but I still set my expectation low.

Upon entrance, a line was piling up already since the foods are located just you get in. I coordinated with he the staff that I have purchased passes via Metrodeal and after checking the codes and submitting the printed copy of the said voucher, I am ready to enjoy what have I paid for.

There were baked mac, arroz caldo, pancit bihon, lumpiang togue, sugar coated camote fries, potato salads, chicken macaroni salads, cute banana turons, beef based soup, halo halo, dinuguan at puto and there is also rice, ginataang halo halo plus unlimited juices and ice cream.

I tried pancit bihon which I never came back for more, lumpia, halo halo , iced tea, dinuguan with rice, and ice cream. I must say that the dinuguan nailed it. It is one of the factors people can say good things about the place. The ice cream is also a household favorite. You can choose ube, vanilla, strawberry and melon flavors. The pineapple juice and iced tea were also great.

For people who loves root crops, the sugar coated camote fries is also a hit. I have actually grabbed more than one serving. I cantnot really comment with the baked mac, chicken macaroni and other choices because I did not bother to pick some.

Over all considering the price that you have to spend with the variety of foods you can choose from, the P89 was a good gamble than to stay home all day during weekends. It was a nice try but I do not recommend to make it as a habit though.

Sir Boy Food Republique is located in Panay Ave, Pantranco, Quezon City. It is behind the Hotel Sogo along Quezon Avenue.
